Juane is one of the main typical dishes of the gastronomy of the Peruvian jungle and is widely consumed during the San Juan festival that is celebrated on June 24 of each year in honor of Juan Bautista. It had its origin in the city of Moyobamba.
This dish has many forms of preprardo according to the different tastes and flavors of each inhabitant of the jungle and can be accompanied with different drinks and sauces, below you will see some recipes of the different juanes that are in the jungle.
π Original Juane: It is made with rice, stuffed with chicken, egg and olive, tied with vijao leaf and a rope and then boiled in a pot and that's it.
π Juane de chonta:As a replacement for rice, it has toasted corn and chonta (both ground) with a piece of salted fish in the center.
π Yucca juane: It has ground yucca instead of rice and is stuffed with fish or paiche, it has garlic, onion and coriander.
π Nina juane: This juane has giblets, egg, coriander and is garnished with garlic, onion and coriander.
" MY EATING HABITS"
π For breakfast I usually have tea or papaya juice with bread and peanut butter, sometimes with jamoda. At lunch I usually eat rice, chicken, tuna, beef, offal, I usually accompany them with salads and fruit juice or soda, at dinner as bread with tea, sometimes street food such as hamburger or chicken a la ember.
